I guess everyone is entitled to a sick day. Mine involves a case of laryngitis and a splitting headache. (Trying to tell the dog firmly to get away from the cat’s food might have put my voice over the edge.) I’m going back to bed and depending how it goes, I might drag my butt into work for the afternoon. Hope your day is better than mine.
And I thought laryngitis was just a dumb go-to plotline for sitcoms or an excuse for a pop star’s inability to perform. Who knew.
Thats sucks! I’m not a fan of laryngitis..it definetely ruins my work day. Who wants a speech therapist who can’t talk?! I certainly don’t..haha! I’m an avid sick day taker but i like to think of them as “mental health” days. I’d go insane if I couldn’t take a breather occasionally and regroup…and yeah…if you take the day…don’t go in the afternoon…thats just gives a bad name to all us slackers who call out on a frequent basis! haha
Well here’s the thing, I get 10 days leave. That’s sick, bereavement, vacation, everything. I warned my boss that I would be dragging my butt into work while sick because I ain’t giving up none of my vacation days. I wish my job had more sick days!
